I Applications in the prescribed format are invited from meritorious sports persons for the posts of Postal Assistants, Sorting Assistants and Postmen under sports quota in the pay scale of Rs.5200-20200 Plus allowances with grade pay of Rs 2400/- in respect of PA/SA and postmen in the pay scale of Rs. 5200-20200 Plus allowances with grade pay of Rs. 2000/-.
II. Age should be between 18 and 25 years as on the last date prescribed for receipt of applications.
Upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years in General Category and 10 years in case of SC/ST for sportspersons who are considered meritorious in the order mentioned below.
a) Who represented a state or the country in the National or International competitions.
b) Who represented their University in the Inter-University tournaments conducted by the Inter-University sports boards
c)Who represented the State School Team in the National Sports/Games for the schools conducted by the All India School Sports / Games Federation.
d)Who has secured “National Award” in Physical Efficiency under the Physical Efficiency Drive.
III. Minimum Educational Qualification:-
For PA/SA: A pass in 10+2 standard or 12th class pass of a recognized university or Board of School Education or Board of Secondary Education with English as a compulsory subject (Excluding vocational streams like DME, DEE, DCCT etc.,). The candidates should have studied any local language recognized by AP State Government as a subject at least up to SSC (Matriculation or equivalent level). The candidates of higher qualifications will also be considered but they have to fulfil the above conditions. Typing knowledge and computer knowledge is desirable. For Postmen: Matriculation or Equivalent.
